Our… I’ve lost count bowl of ramen was enjoyed at a restaurant in the Tokyo-Eki Ramen Street, a row of 8 ramen restaurants in Tokyo Central Station.
After a decent amount of consideration, we chose a shio (salt) ramen restaurant, a lighter form of broth, which, as the name suggests, plenty of salt. We went through the regular drill of ordering from the machine, waiting for a table, eating blisteringly fast (but not fast enough), and leaving.
(You’re welcome, I finally got a photo of the ticket vending machine)
The ramen broth was clear and light, a very refreshing and tasty meal not dissimilar to the one I had at the first restaurant (see The Ramen Chronicles - I) but… predictably less chickeny and more salty. (is chickeny a word? who knows.) Umm… I’ve run out of ways to say it was all great.
